Art with a lightning motif by Noritaka Tatehana, who is active both in Japan and abroad.
Items and some art are also available for purchase at the hotel.

Of the artwork in our museum, nearly 80 paintings were created by Noritaka Tatehana, a contemporary artist active both in Japan and abroad.
Tatehana's representative work, Heelless Shoes, is known worldwide for being worn by the American singer Lady Gaga.
I mainly create works with a lightning motif.

The "thunder" art, which uses striking colors and has a background in traditional Japanese culture,
It expresses the "Tenjin Sky", which has been woven together with various histories and cultures, in a new way.

In addition to hotel-exclusive items created in collaboration with Tatehana's art,
Some of Tatehana's art displayed in the hotel rooms is also available for purchase.

Noritaka Tatehana

Born in Tokyo in 1985. Graduated from the Department of Crafts, Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts, majoring in dyeing and weaving. With the concept of "Rethink" in his creative activities, he has produced many works that express modern values by utilizing traditional Japanese culture and traditional craft techniques. In addition, his representative work "Heel-less Shoes", inspired by the high geta sandals worn by courtesans, is known worldwide as a favorite of American singer Lady Gaga, and is in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
